This year, I had the opportunity to speak at the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA) Women in Aerospace Conference on May 2nd. Accompanied by nine of my teammates, the overall conference had approximately 300 attendees and 23 speakers from over 108 companies. This marked the first time that a member of the GMN Aerospace team has spoken at this event. My speech was centered around the topic of “Expanding your horizons – Getting outside your comfort zone.”
At this year’s 17th annual Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA) Conference, Paul Michaels, GMN Aerospace’s Corporate Director, was asked to share his insights on the importance of striving for excellence within the aerospace industry. As a past recipient of PNAA’s Aerospace Executive of the Year Award, Michaels also had the honor of recognizing previous award winners in the audience during the event’s banquet dinner.
At this year’s Annual Aerospace Conference hosted by the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance, Paul Michaels, GMN Aerospace’s Corporate Director, was asked to speak about his experience receiving the Aerospace Executive of the Year Award last year, as well as present the award to this year’s recipient.
At the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance’s (PNAA) 2017 Annual Aerospace Conference dinner, GMN Aerospace received a Certificate of Appreciation for our donation to the PNAA Next Generation of Aerospace Workers Scholarship Program. The scholarship program serves students pursuing aerospace educations in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, British Columbia, and 10 different colleges.
Yesterday, GMN Aerospace had the honor of hosting the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA) Breakfast Showcase at our Seattle, WA Division. Every year, the PNAA asks the recipient of their Executive of the Year Award to host this event at their facility, and this year’s winner was GMN Aerospace’s corporate director, Paul Michaels.
In February, GMN Aerospace Director, Paul Michaels, received the 2016 Aerospace Executive of the Year Award from the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA) at their 15th Annual Aerospace Manufacturing Conference. Michaels was presented with this honor for his incredible contributions and dedication to the Aerospace industry, and for his ability to inspire success in not only himself, but in those around him.
On April 26th, the women of the GMN Aerospace team attended the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance’s (PNAA) 2016 Women in Aerospace event in Mukilteo, WA. This was the third consecutive year that the women of our team proudly represented GMN Aerospace at this event.
SEATTLE, Washington (February 11, 2016) Yesterday, Paul Michaels, GMN Aerospace Director, received the 2016 Aerospace Executive of the Year Award by the Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA) at their 15th Annual Aerospace Manufacturing Conference. Formed in 2001, the PNAA is a group devoted to advancing the Aerospace industry in the Pacific Northwest region.
The Pacific Northwest Aerospace Alliance (PNAA) is working to raise $50,000 in Aerospace scholarships for students enrolled in Aerospace design, maintenance, and engineering programs. The PNAA strives to build tomorrow’s workforce through their commitment to educating the next generation of Aerospace workers. Last year, they gave $33,750 in scholarships to 24 students from 10 northwest colleges and universities, and this year they are determined to top that contribution so they can reach twice as many students.
On July 29th women from the GMN Aerospace team attended the PNAA’s 2015 Women in Aerospace luncheon. The ladies from GMN Aerospace work in a variety of job functions including sales, customer service, quality assurance, marketing, and more. We were proud to represent GMN Aerospace at the event!
The luncheon featured female speakers from aerospace companies that discussed the industry, how their careers have grown within aerospace, and challenges they’ve faced. The importance of understanding individual strengths and learning from failures came up in each speaker’s presentation.
