Exterior Aircraft Graphics

When many of us look back to the first time we flew in an airplane, we remember looking out the large windows of the airport while we watched the plane we’d be flying in taxi to its gate. Our first experience with every flight since then has been something similar. People don’t want to just know what model of airplane their flying in, but also what design is on the outside of that airplane. exterior aircraft graphics and livery are an essential element to the consumer flying experience.

When it comes to exteriors there are two options for graphics – paint and vinyl. GMN Aerospace offers vinyl exterior graphics through its large format graphics division. The utilization of vinyl for exterior graphics offers various benefits to airlines. Vinyl is a great option for promotional branding as it can be applied and removed with limited damage to the aircraft’s paint. In addition, the graphics can be proofed, produced and applied with a quick turnaround.

To date, GMN Aerospace has offered vinyl exterior liveries for countless Airline customers. GMN Aerospace utilizes 3M Aircraft Exterior Graphic Films for exterior liveries. The durable and water resistant films are available for both permanent and removable applications. The material can be applied to bare, primed and painted aircrafts.

Once graphics are printed and ready to install, the adhesive-backed material is heated and then applied by a team of trained professionals. GMN Aerospace offers in house design support and a certified in-house installation team for it’s all its exterior livery customers. We have some exciting exterior graphics projects coming up in the next year – stay tuned!
