GM Nameplate announced today the re-organization of their sales force by product line to better respond to customer needs.
The change of focus from a geographic responsibility to the product line responsibility will flatten the organization chart, enabling quicker response, better service for GM Nameplate’s customers and improved alignment with its resources.
Steve Baker will assume the role of National Sales Manager for Intaq products, which include electronic input components and value-added assemblies. Baker joined GM Nameplate in 2004 as the Medical Business Development Manager. His efforts here increased GM Nameplate’s medical business by 50% since 2004. The medical market is contained within the overall Intaq product line, allowing Baker to continued working with GM Nameplate’s medical device customers.
Carlo Mears will assume the role of National Sales Manager for Core Products, which includes nameplates, labels, graphic overlays and die-cut components. Mears has served as the Western Regional Sales Manager for the last 7 years where his efforts have increased sales growth for the territory each year.
Dan Thurmond, President of Elite Plastics, a division of GM Nameplate and Chris Passanante, Business Development Manager for Elite Plastics, continue managing the plastic and elastomer product lines for GM Nameplate.
Tim Johnson, Business Development – Automotive, continues managing the automotive interior decoration market for GM Nameplate. The Automotive market was one of the first product lines transitioned from a geographic sales focus to product line responsibility.
“The transition of our sales force to product specialization from a geographic based system has been occurring naturally over the last few years,” stated Gerry Gallagher, vice president of Sales & Marketing. “We are entering an exciting period of growth, and the product line focus will enable us to grow each product line more efficiently and better serve our customers.”
