GM Nameplate announced today that their projected sales in the Medical Device industry are on pace to grow over 36% annually for the most recent three year period.
“The Medical Device Component industry is keeping the bulk of its manufacturing in the U.S.A. because they require consistently reliable quality controls,” stated Steve Baker, Medical Business Development Manager for GM Nameplate. “Customers have been attracted to our robust and repeatable quality systems. After soliciting customer feedback we’ve made targeted improvements to our systems, such as implementation of Good Manufacturing Principles (GMP).” Baker continued, “These improvements to our already reliable quality systems have been noted and acted on by key players in this market.”
Baker joined GM Nameplate in 2004 as the Medical Business Development Manager, where he substantially increased the medical device component business, growing it into the largest portion of the Intaq® electronic user-interface component product line. In 2007 he was tasked with the overall management responsibility for the company’s Intaq® line of products. Baker has over 25 years experience in various segments of the membrane switch industry.
