Application: Handheld surveying device

Challenge: Integrating a rugged touch screen with membrane keypad into extruded aluminum housing.

Solution: GM Nameplate assisted the customer in designing the unit so that the keypad was flush with the aluminum housing when fully assembled. The touch screen is manufactured using rugged ITO glass and is assembled with the membrane keypad, thereby eliminating the need for a second source for the touch screen component. GM Nameplate was able to save the customer both money and time by assembling the unit in one location.
